Gate of Heaven
A region distinguished by being slightly higher and more stable than those around it. Settlements are comprised mainly of a handful of villages, intermittent cottages and the trade-centre-captial of Belltown.
The Hill is governed by a feudal system. Each village and a nebulous amount of the territory surrounding it is ruled by a baron, marquis or equivalent thereof, who in turn report to the duke of Belltown, Lord Daiton. Squabbles are frequent and there is little sense of unity amongst those dwelling on the Hill. A more accurate assessment would be that the Hill is a crowded oasis that Daiton is struggling to hold together. It is only through his diplomacy that they have avoided consuming one another.
